THE 4TH INTERNATIONAL YOUNG LEADERS ASSEMBLY The National Youth Commission in partnership with the Global Peace Foundation, Global Young Leaders Academy and the Office of the United Nations Secretary General’s Envoy on Youth announces the conduct of the 4th International Young Leaders Assembly to be held in Washington D.C., Philadelphia and New York on August 11-20, 2014. The International Young Leaders Assembly (IYLA) is a practicum on leadership that addresses the global challenges of the twenty-first century. Emphasizing the importance of vision, service, and entrepreneurship as the foundation for effective leadership, the IYLA will host university student leaders and young professionals from around the world for interactive programs at the world-class institutions. Participants will learn important leadership skills and collaborate on strategies for sustainable peace and development. This year, the expected participating countries are as follows, Argentina, Armenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Canada, China, Columbia, Cote d’ Iviore, Czech Republic, Ecuador, Egypt, Ethiopia, Finland, France, Germany, Ghana, Guyana, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Iran, Ireland, Japan, Kenya, Korea, Kyrgysztan, Lebanon, Liberia, Malawi, Malaysia, Mexico, Moldova, Mongolia, Morocco, Nepal, Netherlands, Nigeria, Pakistan, Paraguay, Philippines, Poland, Romania, Russia, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Spain, Syria, Thailand, Togo, Trinidad and Tobago, Uganda, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, United States Vietnam and Zambia.
