THE 5 FOUNDATIONS OF TRUE CHRISTIANITY - 4/5 WATER BAPTISM ......This Baptism came into its own in Luke 3:21&22 when Christ Jesus was Baptized in the Jordan by John...... The Holy Spirit came down upon Him like a Dove & the Father from Heaven Spoke over Him! From that time forward Jesus went about His Fathers Business as Led. This total submersion (Not sprinkling) Baptism symbolizes a freewill decision on ones part to die to self (By going under) and live for God (When you come up) - In effect all that you represented and all that you owned is now Gods.....TO DO AS HE WILLS! (Stewardship not ownership based). Eph. 4:21-23 says it this way: Choosing to put off the old self which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires, choosing to put on the New self, Created to be like God in true Righteousness & Holiness. (Gen. 1:27)
