THE ABILITY OF THE SPIRIT! Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts (Zechariah 4:6). In 1 Samuel 2:9 the Bible says …for by strength shall no man prevail. That means no one makes it in life by sheer muscles or human ability. You can’t function by your own human strength, wisdom and intelligence and expect to achieve much. You can only make real impact and achieve incontrovertible success when you function with the ability of the Spirit. Knowing this, the Apostle Paul declared in 2 Corinthians 3:5 (AMP): Not that we are fit (qualified and sufficient in ability) of ourselves to form personal judgments {or} to claim {or} count anything as coming from us, but our power {and} ability {and} sufficiency are from God. When you function by the ability of the Spirit, you’ll never be at your wit’s end. You’ll never run out of power or the divine might to accomplish whatever task you have ahead of you.
