THE ABUJA CARNAGE: THE DAY AFTER. Families wriggle in pains and agony as they mourn the unprepared departure of their loved ones. More families frantically search for their missing family members, some swearing not to accept what may become the inevitable end. The depressed president visited and looked more forlorn than ever. The Police chief looked more confused and helpless in the face of ineptitude. The Army spokesman giving some security tips, some hours too late. The angry nation sobered and licking its wounds as a matter of no choice moves on as if yesterday never was. The politicians sounding like the UN secretary general that enough is enough without providing a credible solution. The blame game goes on with no idea where the next incident will happen and when. The Confab briefly adjoined both for out of respect and fear. The US president condemnation of the terror is given prominence in the news and nothing else. The Human Right activists couldnt find the usual vociferous voice they use to condemn army attacks on terrorists hideouts. No group takes responsibility for the dastardly act even the Boko Haram sect that regales at the pains of the nation. But without clues or options, we have all arrived at our conclusions that we know the perpetrators. For all you know, this might still be the work of those who want to make the country ungovernable for Gej and not the enemy that we know. After all, the Fulani Cattle rearers have just became a national pain in the ass instead of the regional nemesis it had been. All these in a christian holy week. May God help us all.
