THE AROOSTOOK BAND OF MICMACS JOB ANNOUNCEMENT POSITION TITLE: Youth Program Director CLASSIFICATION: Full Time SUMMARY: The Youth Program Director will develop activities for youth that will encourage skill building in the form of culture, healthy relationships, conflict resolution and healthy choices. The Director will supervise the youth workers and will engage in activities. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Bachelor Degree in Social Work, Behavioral Health or a closely related human services field. At least two years’ experience working with youth. Two years of experience in direct staff supervision. SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES: Ability to work independently and as a leader. Must be capable of planning, organizing, financial management, program development and implementation, public relations, personnel management and resource development activities. Knowledge and experience working with tribal government and programs. Strong computer skills with efficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of Micmac culture or strong willingness to learn. Must be able to work flexible hours to include nights and weekends. The Closing date of this position will be May 2, 2014.
