THE ARSENAL PROBLEM: My Thoughts... As expected, excuses are already flying about to explain Arsenals unending series of uninspiring, insipid & lacklustre performances, with the latest being last nights utterly flat & shambolic performance against Dortmund.. Some are blaming our perennial injury curse, while others are hanging on to the straw of another poor transfer window.. While both arguments arent without merits, religiously clinging unto them as reasons for our listless & shambolic displays at this early stage of the season is a tad untenable.. Agreed; we have some injury worries(but so do other clubs).. Agreed; we should have signed some reinforcements to beef up the squad, which we didnt.. IMO however, despite the failure to strengthen in some areas we still possess a very good squad.. With the likes of Koscielny, Debuchy, Ramsey, Ozil, Wilshere, Rosicky, Walcott, Campbell & Sanchez in our ranks, the aforementioned excuses arent good enough reasons for us to be this abysmal.. For me, Wengers tactical approach to games & his body language is destroying us faster than anything else.. This is our bane & has been for several years now.. Weve become so predictable & easy to plan & play against, that any manager who faces us, even with mediocre teams, automatically becomes a tactical genius.. Im not a manager but 8 times out of 10, i can correctly guess 9 out of Wengers starting 11 & where hell deploy them on the field.. No change or dynamism whatsoever! This has proven to be our greatest undoing in recent times. Rival managers, fans & pundits alike all seem to know this but somewhat inexplicably, only Wenger doesnt.. Wenger is too stubborn, rigid & set in his ways that adaptability & tactical flexibility appears a taboo to him.. Whats the guarantee that even if he signed a thousand world class players, he wont misuse or under-utilise them? Honestly, this man has outlived his usefulness as the manager of this great club as its obvious he has nothing NEW to offer.. Hes becoming an embarassment to the team & to himself & he just has to go.. For his contributions in the past, he could be moved upward(board, etc).. But retaining him as the manager beyond this season could spell doom for us.. A WORD IS ENOUGH..
