THE ASYMMETRIC SYMMETRY BETWEEN THE STUDENTS UNION LEADERS OF THE RECENTLY OLD GENERATION AND PRESENT-DAY: FOOD FOR THOUGHT. The two class could be regarded as operating on same nomenclature with same powers and capacity, yet, the two categories thrive on opposite direction. Need I reiterate as I have often stress on the misgivings and high level of gross prebendalism that now characterize the orientation, ideological resolve, reading practice, character and intellectual capacity of our new breeds; who are killing, almost sending into extinction, (legacies) that which the predecessors fought for;this cardinal drift has relegated many of our new breeds into pedagogical money beggars and celebrated empty brains. Frankly, i say this without any apology to whoever may have been bruised by this venomous vituperation. This may have sounded harsh,yet, it is instructive to those who wish to learn and improve. If I may ask, how do we reconcile an acclaimed Union leader who publicly subject the entire structure to perpetual ridicule by his/her poorly-constructed and ill-morphological grammatical expressions? Kai, that was not part of our history; we had enviable record of professed academic excellence doubled with radical history of constructive students advocacy that was popular, defined, conceptual with tolerable mien ;hence, we got admiration and necessary respect unlike our younger ones who get less regard or recognition from constituted authority. Work first; money will follow, should be the status-quo; today, there is a twist of same as directly opposite. The structure used to be a training ground for self-contained or self-proclaimed development; today its a moneymaking venture. The crux of the matter is that many of em assume a self-sufficient mentality which is cluelessly perpetuated in failure and crass negativism. Ironically, attempt to teach or correct them or guide as appropriate is misconstrued as ploy to constrict them from operating freely within the parameters of their exuberant enthusiasm. You are on your own to either make or Mar the destiny of your generation.We did well in our days and prosperity has indeed been rewarding. Sometimes, when I see some asking for the assistance and intervention of the older generation when they run into problems, I smile at the hypocrisy and cowardice; which seemed contradictory since it had become habitual of you people to always claim self-sufficient and all-knowing? Anyway, its understandable as a believer of Estonian Concept of System Theory; which affirms the inter-connections between systems and coordinate systems. Its no gainsaying that what has affected the larger society in terms of backwardness in ethics, values and morality has taking its toll on the micro-society. Ironically, societal degeneracy has less or no influence on individual absorbency to moral decadence or otherwise. Its your choice to rise to the peak of your dream as a prospective student-leader through serious hard-work/researching, focus, rightful association, clear-headedness, Grace of God and adherence to positive advice; and have your name immortalized on the minds of your generation fellas or continue to thrive in the gangsterized fantasy of being a comrade without any admirable pedadogical quality which the status denotes?
