THE AUNTS Described by audiences as "honest, fresh, exciting and powerful", The Aunts are a band with a continually evolving sound of rock, jazz, classical music and roots influence. A band with powerful vocals and lyrics, backed up by a unique and diverse lead electric cello sound, and a flat rhythm section. This Fremantle band will be venturing out beyond their comfort zone as they invade the North of the River music scene with their upcoming performance at The Rosemount. The band behind the monthly tasty and musical gathering of Sunday Sound Kitchen; held every first Sunday of the month at Kulcha Performance Club, The Aunts are slowly becoming a household name in the local band-scene. It’s time The Aunts rise up to the challenge and make a breakthrough to unfamiliar territory, hitting The Rosemount with "old" favourites including their hit Silent Mode, but also busting out some newly recorded singles. Supported by a great line-up; These Winter Nights, Kings of the Travellers and The London Bureau – it’s going to be a school night that you’re glad you stayed out for. Check out The Aunts next Thursday, 12 September at The Rosemount with support acts: These Winter Nights, King of the Travellers and The London Bureau. Tickets $8, Doors open from 8pm.
