(THE BEATITUDES.)part four: Matth.5:5. Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth. From our opening scripture, we can see that it takes meekness to inherit the earth. Meekness is an act of humility with long- suffering, its one of the fruit of the Holy Spirit, and God is a long -suffering God, the devil does not have it, neither does he manifest it; he may try to falsify it by pretense but its not in him. he would always like to achieve his dirty games hastily, and they would say delay is dangerous, but the Bible tells us he that believeth shall not make hast. (Isaia 28:16.) There is this subtle device the devil uses against the people of God, when they get born again, get some light from the word of God they get tensed with the excitement of being born again, and would not sit down and study and learn in other to become balanced in the knowledge of God: and Jesus said, ...learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. (Matth.11:28-30.) Unfortunately many would get hooked up with some holier than thou arttitude brethren, who tries to be more righteous than Jesus Christ, you see them condeming every other believer because they dont do it their own way, passing judgement to a lot of people including men of God, and before they knew it they have made several mistakes of which the devil takes advantage of and caged them with too many issues that when they thingk about would decide to backslide secretly, but remained in the church only as a fault finder etc. cought up with the spirit of the last days. 2Tim.3:1-8. When one receives the gospel, his spirit receives eternal life,(the life of God.) but you are still in this earthly tarbanacle that are full of limitations, though spiritually hes been translated to the realm of God. But there are so much trouble he got to settle down here, if not the moment one gets born again, the Lord would just take him to heaven at least to save him some problem, but its not so brother! pls. Read (Isaiah 52:11-12.) Yea, the Lord wants you depart from your old way of life, touch not unclean thing, follow peace with all men and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord: (Heb.12:14). That is the mind of God for every child of God, but it is not automatic brother: Some part of your soul and your body needs to be worked upon, so that it can be able to discharge the duty that made God to still allow him here on earth, and its your responsibility before you finally go over to the other side of eternity. Hallaluiah! It takes a process of mind renewal which controls the body. (Romans 12:2.) at that point in time the possibility of making some mistakes are there, and because you made those mistakes, falling into temptations, trials and all that does not mean God has abandoned you, as so many were made to believe: Heres a question! As a parent with a little child or baby in the house, how many of you would nail or disown the child because he wet or deficated the mattress? And if you cant do that because you love the child, why do you think God can do so to a believer when he makes some mistake, are you more righteous than God? Every of such problem with a believer is treated as a family matter so far you are not willing to go back there. (1John 1:5-10.) God is not expecting you to be perfect automatically you get born again, oh-oh!! even though He has a plan to get you perfected. He said, For ye shall not go out with haste, nor go by flight: For the Lord will go before you; and the God of Israel will be your rear gaurd. (Isa.52:12.) Lets read this very instructive: (Exodus 23:25-30.) In this scripture God made some wonderful promises, including making all your enemies to turn their back unto you, but He said, in verse 29-30. I will not drive them out from before thee in one year; lest the land become desolate, and the beast of the field multiply against thee. *By little and little I will drive them out from before thee, until thou be increased, and inherit the land. The agent of increase in Gods kingdom is the Word of God. (Acts 20:32.) (2Tim. 2:15.) (Col.3:16.) And praying in the Spirit. (Jude vs 20.) (1Cor.14:4.) (Eph. 6:18.). And so all you require to increase, is the knowledge of Gods word, If you dont increase in the knowledge of the Word, you cannot live a holy life, and without holiness you cannot inherit the land. So be willing to study, and be obedient to apply and you shall eat the good of the land. For The meek shall eat and be satisfied: (Psm.22:26.) my God bless you.
