THE BIG WEEKEND IS HERE! The 2013 Monster Match will be in full effect by tomorrow morning with the first games starting at 745am. Although the work behind the scenes has been going on for months and months, the visual effects of the tournament will begin to appear today at the Rec Plex. Watch the beautiful fields of the Rec Plex turn into spooky graveyards, complete with goblins and monsters! Did you know?: - The Monster Match is estimated to bring in (a low estimate of) one-quarter of a million dollars revenue to the area this weekend. - There are 99 teams from all over the Midwest entered to play and well over 300 games scheduled. - There will be approximately 4,000 people entering the gates of the Rec Plex this weekend. - We have an ALL-volunteer run tournament and organization with all volunteer coaches/parents.
