It is recognized as the largest collection of minerals and petrifaction in any single place on earth. Father Paul Dobberstein, the founder began the construction of the grotto in 1912. He labored for 42 years, setting gems and semi- precious stones into concrete. By the time of his death in 1954, Father Dobberstein had built the incredible Grotto of the Redemption. He built it for the Glory of GOD and the sanctification of his people.
