THE BLESSING OF ABHRAHAM IS OURS IN CHRIST We need to realize that we don’t live through works but by the spirit. The spirit in us gives the fruit. Galatians 5:19-22 states so. Now to know about Abraham. Most of them think God calls Abraham the great man of faith for he kept the Ten Commandments. But do you realize Abraham lived prior to The Ten Commandments were given. Didn’t Abraham fall? Of course he did. Then why was he called the man of faith. The answer is found in Genesis 15:6: “Abram believed the Lord, and he credited it to him as righteousness.” The key is to believe in God and the righteousness of God is imputed to us through Christ. In Gen 17:1-3 God made a covenant with Abraham and he said walk before me faithfully and be blameless and I will increase you in great numbers. But did Abraham keep the covenant and walk blameless. It says he lied twice. He said Sarah is my sister with Pharaoh. He was so selfish for his life and saw he said so. God protected him and Pharaoh enriched him with possessions. The second time it was with Abimelech King of Gerar, and God closed all the wombs of King Gerar (Genesis 20:6, 10-12). And God says to Abimelech ask Abraham to pray for you so that you may be saved for he is a prophet. I said God you caught the wrong person, Abraham had to be corrected. Then God counted him righteous because of his faith in the lord. We need to understand in our weakness God is strong. Believe the righteousness once you have received is not taken away from you for it is Christ righteousness you have. God remembers your sins no more. Under grace for a believer there is no record of weaknesses. The grace of Jesus enables you to live a good life and you will reign in life. 2 Corinthians 5:21 states: God made him who had no sin to be sin[a] for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. Just believe in God and know you will reign in Life in Christ Jesus.
