THE BLOODY BATTLE CONTINUES. The Scriptures offer us an insight into The Battle of all Ages. We have looked at the warfare that began in Heaven before recorded time. We saw that Lucifer, an Archangel in Heaven, tried to exalt himself and replace God. He (Lucifer) was in Eden, the garden of God; this was somewhere between Gen. 1;1 and Gen. 1:2. And the Earth was without form and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. (Gen. 1: 2a). God did not originally create the Earth without form and void; it became this way after a cataclysmic happening; this happening was the revolt of Lucifer against God, which took place sometime in the dateless pass. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters (Gen. 1:2b). The moving of the Holy Spirit signified and signifies the beginning of life. Lucifer lost the first round with God. Then we see a challenge laid down in the Garden of Eden, when Adam and Eve, after having everything they would ever need, deliberately sinned against the revealed will and purpose of God, obeyed the serpent and ate of the forbidden fruit. So God told Satan, standing there in the garden, that the woman whom he had deceived, would bring forth a child that would bruise his head. So battle lines were set up in the Garden of Eden. The Devil, who is Lucifer, stood before the Throne of God, and he swore I will not have my head bruised. From that hour, Satan began to scheme, determined to battle until the last page of history, not to have his head bruised (crushed)... To be continued.
