THE BOOK OF REVELATION CHAPTER 18 VERSE 7 -- CONCLUSION "How much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her: for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow." "For she saith in her heart"; or she has made all these statements from her own heart, deep down in her very inner beings: Isaiah 47:12. Because she has spoken all these things with great pride from deep down in her very soul: Isaiah 47:13. And she is yet, proudly, making her boast of her great wealth and worldly statues: Isaiah 47:14. Even till now, she assures herself and her disciple followers, in her heart, that she will never cease to be: Isaiah 47:15.. Her self embellished pride caused her to say from her own heart "I sit a queen and am no widow". I sit down on my own accord, of my own will, and of my own making a queen; and I am not a widow.. I am not a widow; I do not exist a widow; I do not sit alone, I am not left unattended. She claims no cause for pity, or grief: but she has plenty worldly possessions (gained through her own lust) to rely upon: Luke 12:21&22. She had lifted herself upon such a high pedestal that she foolishly believes that she was "indispensible"; "And shall see no sorrow." She truly believes that she had gained so much power and authority (religiously and politically) that there was no way that she could lose any of her wealth, or go out of existence: Proverbs 14:1. She had, continually, over the centuries said in her heart; "There is no God to judge me." She was about to find out. Proverbs 25:14.
