THE BOOMERANG EFFECT Thousands of European nationals are flocking to former African colonies to find jobs. The bitter irony is that thousands of talented Africans travelled to Europe to seek jobs and have had to compromise on income, despite having relevant experience / qualifications. Thousands of African nationals have also been subjected to racial prejudice and abuse throughout Europe. I recently met a Nigerian nuero-surgeon who drives a mini-cab in London. So the brightest brains of Africa are stuck in Europe doing menial jobs while Europeans will most likely find more meaningful jobs in African countries. And I am almost sure the reception will not be so hostile.
