THE {BUZZ } July 2014 Phew! Summer is here! Things are happening at the Beehive. I’m writing to let you all know that there will be a period of time in August when we will be closed for renovations. SHOCK! HORROR! Yes, yes, I know, it’s peak season, etc, but it has to be done. If you come here often you know that we are very busy. Despite heroic efforts by the staff we are struggling to keep up with the sheer volume of business that we are doing. In order to maintain our high standard of food prepared in small batches and cooked to order, we need to move some things around in our small kitchen and update some equipment. This will make service a lot faster and a lot more efficient, without losing our commitment to really great food. We will close on July 30th and hopefully re-open two weeks later. KEEP CHECKING FACEBOOK and you will be in the loop in terms of exact dates. Phase II - Bread at the Beehive! Once the kitchen has been sorted out we will also be moving forward with a plan to expand sideways in to the adjoining space. Our goal is to expand the counter area and increase our baked goods and food-to-go. This means that if you want a quick coffee and pastry or if you are picking up a phone order, there will be a separate service area for you. We will also be selling our bread, which many of you have asked for. Now our baked goods selection will have room to expand! Stay Tuned!
