THE CATHOLIC PRIEST, THE POLICE AND THE POLITICIAN Rev. Dr. Chris - TopicsExpress

THE CATHOLIC PRIEST, THE POLICE AND THE POLITICIAN Rev. Dr. Chris E. Kwakpovwe A Catholic Priest was dying in a hospital. Then he tells the doctor to call a Nigeria Police officer and a politician. Within minutes, a police officer and a politician popped in. He told them to sit on either side of the bed and he says nothing further. The priest holds the hands of both the police officer and the politician. The guys get so touched and at the same time feel important for being summoned by a priest in his dying moment. Then finally the politician asks, “But why did you call us? The priest gathered all his strength and said, Jesus died between two thieves...l want to go the same way. Oh, on a lighter mood, while you might be tempted to laugh seriously as I did when l first got this, you must know that corruption is not the exclusive characteristic of any country! After all, the German-based organization, Transparency International (TI), has published its 2013 Corruption Perception Index (CPI), which ranks countries and territories based on how corrupt their administrative and political institutions are, and the 2013 report says two-thirds of countries are corrupt. Somalia, North Korea and Afghanistan are the most corrupt while Denmark, New Zealand, Finland, and Sweden are listed as the four least corrupt countries while the U.S. came in 19th, Nigeria was 33rd. In Africa Botswana and Seychelles are the least corrupt countries followed by South Africa and Ghana. What the Holy Ghost wants you to know is that you are the handicap you must face. Do not allow your light to become darkness! Allow your light to so shine that this world (friends and foes) will see Jesus in you and give Him praise. Refuse to allow your lifestyle to bring shame to the Lord. If people are looking for a Christian in your community, will they knock on your door? If men are looking for a thief, a fornicator or a liar, etc, will they knock on your door? Remember what C. H. Spurgeon wrote: “An unholy church! It is useless to the world, and of no esteem among men. It is an abomination, hells laughter, heaven’s abhorrence. The worst evils which have ever come upon the world have been brought upon her by an unholy Church. Get an answer for this: lf the world were to convict you for being a Christian, will there be enough evidence? Think! Think! Think!
