Only when the community itself realizes the need for change will change be embraced and implemented." While we are waiting for change we can help to care for the animals saved from this brutal trade. We can help to increase and improve facilities for saved companion animals. We can help fund the real life rescues. We can support the organisations in situ as they seek to educate and to encourage change. We can perhaps consider adopting an animal. Soi Dog in Thailand is one organisation that offers an informative overseas adoption plan to release more places for incoming animals. We all need to consider realistically about where our money will have the greatest impact in the prevailing culture of companion animals for human consumption.
