THE CHANGING FACE OF LITERATURE To understand the changing face - TopicsExpress

THE CHANGING FACE OF LITERATURE To understand the changing face of literature we must first admit that it is the artistic value of written works that people can relate with and then agree that ever since the invention of writing and publishing man have given too much attention to the importance of formal education and not the transformative ideas that sustains education itself even though it does not in all cases directly affects man, so that writing a book on health almost always end up as a mere physician to patient manual instead of a book of reflection; because the main purpose of writing a book is to help man to circumspect. In all the past centuries of literary works known to man books have been made to be interactive in nature to the human sense of apprehension be it friction or factual, prose or play, poem or short story, analytical or monograph, so that irrespective of the subject matter the element of suspense was always added to a written work to create a state of anxiety that will make man worry more about something that means nothing to his future in particular but everything in general because the author wants the mind of his ‘audience’ to identify with a form of universal truth that his hidden in his thought as expressed confidently in his book, but in the last two decade we have seen great books lacking the characteristics of a clairvoyant in interpreting the future as a challenge of what the past means to a man.
