THE CHEAT MEAL; A bodybuilders dream or nightmare!!! For most - TopicsExpress

THE CHEAT MEAL; A bodybuilders dream or nightmare!!! For most it is an easy enough event to manage, but not for me. As a former obese person, I still struggle with binge eating and knowing when to stop stuffing my face. Often I feel like a bottomless pit and can happily shove food in my mouth without ever feeling sick; and thus ruin a weeks worth of good dieting and training. But since I decided to do Nationals in six weeks, it time for me to become very responsible with my body. Today is my chosen rest day which normally means my cheat day. But Im taking a different approach to it now. Rather than eating everything in sight for one glutton meal, Im carefully spreading out extra calories throughout the day. For breakfast, Ive just had my normal oats and protein, which is normally followed by 4 egg white/2eggs - so I made some toast and poached 2 eggs instead (I will have an egg white omelette later with the surplus)... Im going to go to the movies later and ill possibly have a small bag of popcorn and diet coke (whereas normally Id have a Doner Kebab, chips and soda on movie/cheat meal day) and then possibly some roasted sweet potatoes with dinner... For me, planning is key to prevent the all out carnage that normally coincides with my cheat meal. Remember, a little of what you like is not going to do you harm. You have to live in the real world, where there is temptations all around. Planning your cheat is paramount to managing any guilt you may feel afterwards.... But most of all, enjoy it!!! Youve earned it
