THE CHURCH AT THE SMYRNA REV2:8-11. The church at the smyrna was known with love and zeal. This church was faced with tribulation and poverty, yet they were rich spiritually, prayerful and constant in soul winning. The church at Smyrna was steadfast even in the midst of battles. This should be the position of the church today. They knew God, and they look afar. They had prepared mind for trials. The church at Smyrna was the church with persecution. They faced great persecution. Trial had become their daily experience thats why God warned them not to looked back and they must not be weaken in their spirit or discourage. One of the problems we inherit in the gospel is persecution. Jh16:33. Unfortunately, it had discourage many turning back from God. Mk10:29-30. Everyone who want to walk with God must face persecution. God want every christian to be faithful during persecution. God permit persecution for us to be sound in tge faith. Acts14:22 , Phil1:29 ,2Cor4:17. No matter how great the trials battles and persecution is, it is for some time. Victory is our joy, halleluyah shall be our song. The way to the cross is the way to heaven. Individual will surely have his or her own experience. Its dangerous for you to run away from trials. If you flee from Lion, you may meet Bear. Be encouraged, be steadfast, and God will see you through. Beulah is our city. We shall sing Zion`s song for ever .The crown of life awaits us if we can be faithful to the end.
