THE CLANDESTINE AGENDA I won’t comment on any historic relic here. Nevertheless, how would one explain this somewhat mind-boggling similarity? Lost in time and space, man has been confounding realities. On quite a number of occasions, a willful intent was there and once in a while inadvertently too. And it is so breathtakingly true. Agatha Christie was an extraordinary storyteller of the post WW1 era. I’ll now quote a tiny excerpt from one of her best sellers to offer you a breather. Or is it? Yes, yes, he said. That is true. They must have no inkling that we are using them for our own ends. They are honest men--and that is their value to us. It is curious--but you cannot make a revolution without honest men. The instinct of the populace is infallible. He paused, and then repeated, as though the phrase pleased him: Every revolution has had its honest men. They are soon disposed of afterwards. Now that was no conference of the saints or hermits, you may please be certain. Baddies convened that. Do we have them about - a secret priory so to speak, wouldn’t you say? What was so true holds good even today. Democracy, for instance, is a 5th century BC Greek concept. It was the political system for the city-states. Here’s how that much talked about perception measures. The term ‘People’ is distinctly topsy-turvy. Are we talking of the privileged or the masses? It carries some 16th century coined flavor but it continued to eerily remain incomprehensible. Today’s democracy is an abstract form of oligarchy. Is it not? Or is it Jacksonian in flimsy rags. It’s neither Athenian nor Liberal. That’s for sure. Of the whole lot of the types under the umbrella of Democracy, none portrays ours, regretfully none whatsoever. Ironically, we proudly refer it as Democracy nonetheless. You know what’s the best way to evade an Iceberg? Just keep yourself on the windward side. For Iceberg is easily sighted, growlers aren’t. Growlers are carved off chunks of the Iceberg floating to its leeward. The elected representation comprises of those growlers. Icebergs are the elite class. The Peoples – characterized thrice, on the body of the depiction of democracy, in reality, are not synonyms. I will now invite your attention towards the basic definition of the term “democracy’. Commoners get an ‘ON’, the Representatives have a ‘BY’ and the Elite are prefixed ‘FOR’. Go on, give it a go.
