THE COAL MINER...The life of a coal miner is the hardest life I know....There,s a danger like no other, Crawling around in that hole .A miner doesn,t think about ,The future and what it holds.His only thought is working ,and keeping his family clothed. He doesn,t worry about the cave.. ins, or the coal dust in his lungs.He,s just proud that he is working for his wife and daughters and sons. My father was a coal miner.I remember very well, the times that he would come home and open his dinner pail.Inside would be some candy.I can still remember the smell.It was only penny candy,but it was a treat to us .We didn,t even worry ,that his hands were covered with dust.He died an early death.. from working in the mines,but I can never remember ,him complaining about hard times.So God Bless all the miners ,and all the work they do.I think they,ve earned a place in Heaven,and all of our respect too.
