THE COAST An untarnished image of Nature Mere sand that colours life And add value to my days Brightening my unsure future As on my worries i now lay A revelation of the true songs of nature Listen to birds sing with boast And watch date palms dance Bowing to the rythm of the winds As on my worries i now lay Beauty of the coast of Mermaids With the rise and fall of the waves Signifying the veritable string of life But that washes all treasures to my feet As on my worries i now lay Beauty of the coast that speaks With the solemn and great waters That scold the coastal rocks Threaten and alert all that lives As on my worries i still lay Oh! time and natures weariness are expirations to guestship And with regrets i depart from thee Though its the sun that sleeps, not you Now i leave, but hope to return To flow more worries with great fun (Emmanuel Verdzeka-June 2008)
