THE CONTROVERSIAL SECURITY BILL In more than one occasion, I - TopicsExpress

THE CONTROVERSIAL SECURITY BILL In more than one occasion, I have always told my friends to think of power but not heroism. Heroes are celebrated within a specific period of time and what they did can be countered at any given time. Power breeds personal gain, regional development and capacity building to your people. Heroism is to everyone but no specific persons. On Wednesday last week, I happened to have shared the same podium with the Constitutions god father Hon. Raila Odinga and in forthwith, he is a worried man. The best thing he brought to Kenyans is on wrong hands. If Raila was to assume Presidency in 2007 or 2013 just like the Late Nelson Mandela of South Africa, his hard work for liberation and freedom of Kenyans could have had the greatest impact, but now his hard work, many years in labour and draconian efforts are meaningless and maybe carried by the moving water through the rivers direct to the lake to form the waves that staggers the easy flow of the trade ships. To my generation out there, if you are out to champion for anything, do all it takes to accomplish your intend goals. When it involves elections, learn one good lesson, power is 70% taken and 30% given. The 30% is left for the general public like I to vote, assume office before the voting day. Trusting the general public with 70% win is a big mess, we can all witness that. I quote the President. Today I signed into law the Security Laws (Amendment) Bill 2014, which provides a firm framework for the fight against terrorism. I call on all Kenyans to read the new law for yourselves instead of depending on interpretations that mislead. I am confident that you will find that there is nothing in this law that goes against the Bill of Rights or any provision of the constitution. Its intent is one; to protect the lives and property of all citizens. From the statement, no personal gain or win can be seen, but the imagery of the general public and Kenyan citizens is the topic of discussion. At a distance, with no or little experience, Ill watch keenly and see how my country handles terrorism, back in my mind, I read and see CIA. Lastly, I quote Nelson Mandela, It is better to lead from behind and to put others in front, especially when you celebrate victory when nice things occur. You take the front line when there is danger. Then people will appreciate your leadership. My prayers Kenyans. Kind Regards.
