THE CRYING GAME. Opinions over the alleged crying incident - TopicsExpress

THE CRYING GAME. Opinions over the alleged crying incident fall into two camps. It didnt happen but was invented to reinforce the facilitation of stranger abduction or, for McCann supporters, it is proof positive that some dastardly intruder had chanced his arm ( well presume male given all the sightings of strange men lurking in PDL with the obvious intent of child abduction ). But what if it was part of a more elaborate plan of scene setting ? For one thing, it absolutely reinforces the account that the children were indeed left alone and the only thing the McCanns can be judged guilty of is child neglect without intent to put the children in harms way. Kate went to great lengths to rubbish Mrs Fenns assertion that Madeleine was crying on 1st May for an hour and a quarter but why ? Could it have been because that was the night Kate had returned to the apartment early ? It was quiz night and we know Kate was miffed that Gerry had invited the voluptuous quiz mistress, Miss Najoua Chekaya to join them. Indeed Miss Chekaya did assert in her interview that there was an empty chair at the table although she could not confirm it was Kate that was missing. It is not beyond the bounds of possibility that Kate was with Madeleine that evening as Mrs Fenn did report she heard the child crying for Daddy and who hasnt, when dealing with a fractious child experienced said child calling for the other parent in the hope of eliciting more sympathy ? Other facts give weight to this argument and would you believe, straight from the mouth of that stalwart defender of the McCanns, Mr Clarence ( I always tell the truth) Mitchell. When the crying story was leaked to the British press, Mr Mitchell, talking to Sky news on 11 April 2008 told Anna Jones that there was no crying that night as Rachael Oldfield was in the adjoining apartment that night and she heard no crying. No given that it was possible to hear the shower running next door isnt it odd that she wouldnt have heard two children crying and summoned the parents ? Somebody didnt synchronise stories. So back to setting the scene For an incident that didnt warrant further questioning of the child, The McCanns went to great lengths to advertise the fact that Madeleine had been disturbed on Wednesday Evening as demonstrated below. Kate recounted the story at the dinner table, prior to the discovery of the abduction. Both parents told the police on 4 May, recounting it again on the 7th and 10th. Further weight is given to this hypothesis when we discover the following statement made by Leicestershire Police Officer Stephen Markley in a statement given on 25 April 2008. Here he stated the following. However, in relation to the above, I would like to add the following: At about 20.00 on Saturday 5th May 2007, I arrived at the apartment where Kate and Gerry were staying, with other officers. During the meeting Gerald and Kate had a number of questions to which they wanted follow up and responses from the PJ. One of these questions was that they wanted the PJ to be aware of was Madeleines revelation about Wednesday night, when she said that she was left alone during the night. She told Kate and Gerry that she remembered the twins crying and that she wanted to know why neither her mother nor her father had gone to the room to see what was happening. Interestingly, both parents reported a crying incident earlier in the holiday but could not be certain when, stating it was possibly Monday, when Madeleine had got into their bed because the twins crying was disturbing them. Neither parent can recall who went to comfort the twins. Isnt it easier to tell a lie if the brain is attaching some detail to an actual event ? Are we reading to much into this or was it a deliberate attempt to inculcate the idea that Madeleine was disturbed by someone the previous evening and more sinister, that she was very much alive and well when we can clearly see from statements there is much confusion as to Madeleines whereabouts during the day of 3rd may ? Indeed when asked to describe their last memory of Madeleine or any memory, the telling is vague to say the least. Perhaps this incident, like the tea stain on the jammies is all smoke and mirrors? Let us hope that there will be a strong breeze blowing in 2015.
