THE DANIEL PLAN DOES NOT AGREE WITH SCRIPTURE Blessed is the man - TopicsExpress

THE DANIEL PLAN DOES NOT AGREE WITH SCRIPTURE Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. Psalm 1:1 (KJV) A few days ago I wrote a blog on Rick Warrens Daniel Plan program. I wrote it based on the program I had been exposed to at a church I attended over the past few years. It always made me uncomfortable when the event rolled around January. Yet I never took the time to look at the details and compare it to scripture until this year. What I have found is shocking and disheartening. So many people I know are doing this program thinking they are doing something biblical. To be Biblical it should line up with scripture right? Please read Part 1 to understand the background information that lead up to this follow up. There is so much information that this will have to be continued in at least one maybe 2 more posts. rick-warren-daniel-plan-fast-church-laodicea-emergent-chrislam-saddleback In my previous post I received a lot of comments. Most were encouraging but one challenged me to go to Saddleback and listen to the sermons there, accusing me of being wrong about what Rick Warren teaches. That was a great idea. Most churches now have their sermons online for you to listen to later and Saddleback was no exception. Not only did it have it in video form but it also offered sermon notes to be used with the presentation. Lets stop right here. It is common to have people criticize you for writing things such as this. They tell you to be careful of what you are doing and tell you not to judge. Many see no issue with churches that have a little leaven in them as long as people are coming to Christ through them. Is that the way we are to look at it? What are Gods standards for absolute truth? Lets look at some scripture. A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump. Galatians 5:9 (KJV) But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. 24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. John 4:23-24 (KJV) Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth? Galatians 4:16 (KJV) This is just a brief list - for further study on what our responsibility as Christians is in exposing error and protecting the truth. Check out Is it Right? Please also consider listening to : Chris Lawson and Ray Yungen discuss the serious compromise of Rick Warren allowing New Age doctors and various Alternative Health (New Age) practices on his Saddleback Church ‘Daniel Plan’ website. The dangers of “occultism” and the sympathies of Warren’s New Age doctors (leaders/advisers) are discussed in detail, as is The Daniel Plan website promotion of the “4-7-8 Breath Technique,” a method that comes directly from yogic literature and is used by “occultists” to enter Altered States of Consciousness. I worked hard in presenting this information to use Gods word as absolute authority. To ask questions that make you think and to use the actual words and concepts presented by the church leaders and program directors themselves. None of the experts that Rick Warren chose to create the Daniel Plan with are Christian: Rick Warren goes on to explain how he chose his counsel for the creation of the Daniel Plan that has changed to what they are now calling 2.0. He looked to the New York Times best seller list to pull Dr Mark Hyman and Dr Mehmet Oz into the fold. Dr Daniel Amen was his own personal physician. He selected Dr Hyman because he was skilled with the metabolism and Dr Oz because he was a heart specialist. As I stated in my previous post. These are not men of God. Amen is a psychiatrist who is new age, Hyman who is a Jew that practices Buddhist spiritualism and Oz who is a Muslim who also practices new age methods. This is the original team of advisers.
