THE DATES IN JUNE: After a quick Google search regarding the GOP convention, I found that it was announced July 8, 2014 that the event would be in Cleveland. No dates were set at that time, and none yet. It was stated that it would be sometime at the end of June or in July. I dont know when our commitment was made to Cleveland and what commitments were made in return, but I suspect that the decision for our June dates possibly reflect the non-determination of the GOP dates. I remember at our event when Cleveland was announced that I had heard the GOP was going to be there too. I had hoped theyd be long gone and wed be going the end of July. But, alas that is not so. We could speculate that TGA got tired of waiting and chose these safe dates, or that they got told these were the ONLY dates available. Until TGA decides to come forth with an explanation, if they choose to, all it would be is speculation. These dates are a bummer for many. I ask that we empathize and not criticize those sharing their feelings. This event is billed as part of the healing process. To take it away does hurt, and that should not be minimized, trivialized or criticized.
