THE DEVIL NEXT DOOR I once lived next door to the devil, his face - TopicsExpress

THE DEVIL NEXT DOOR I once lived next door to the devil, his face was covered in scars, as his eyes rolled an evil black; He forced girls into prostitution, as he tried to get all the boys addicted to his heroin and smack He destroyed so many lives, but through those thin walls I always heard him laugh; His victim’s blood began to itch, as their discarded needles were left rolling in the bath He would watch us all from the shadows before picking off the weakest members of the pack; Once he had them hooked there really was no way back He didn’t care who he hurt, Everywhere he went a darkness would descend; It was an overdose administered by him that murdered my best friend After that I spent so long exercising my demons, as those thoughts of revenge kept running through my brain; His evil cackle still kept echoing through my wall, slowly driving me insane Councillors told me to open up before this depression developed into an uncontrollable rage; So I picked up this pen and opened my heart, as these poetic verses poured out onto a page On the outside I tried to remain calm, but for me I was just waiting in the eye of the storm; A thousand verses were sealed in ink, as slowly my destiny began to transform The devil next door started to act like Dr Jekyll, As all he did was hide; The devil may have stolen my friend, but he couldn’t ever steal my pride My life started to take off, so I took to the skies and left him to rot down there on the floor; So now you know I once lived in hell, And the devil was living next door. ..
