THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A SEA STORY AND A FAIRY TALE. Every seaman recruit since the invention of the hollow log knows the answer to this one. A fairy tale begins: Once upon a time.The sea story begins: Now, this is no sh*t. Both sayings began three feet up a bulls colon. Joni Ernst ran for the U.S.Senate as a poor farm kid who did up the chores and knew how to castrate pigs. This was fodder for Comedy Central, who took the bait and the attendant publicity helped get her elected. Its hardball politics, american style. Her opponent wasnt smart enough to cash in on it so he lost the election.BUT! As a newly elected Senator, she gives the rebuttal to the Presidents State of the Union address and claims in front of all of America to have been so poor as a kid she had to wear bread wrappers to school in wet weather to keep her shoes dry, because basically, her family couldnt afford to replace them. Today we find out her family was taking tens of thousands of dollars of federal subsidies and owned hundreds of acres of fertile Iowa farmland. Ill leave it to you, sea story or fairy tale? Furthermore, the Jr. Sen. from Iowa would like to slash the federal give away programs. She means by that, slash the support for needy people and gut the future of the middle class. But, keep your damn fingers off my federal subsidies. The pictures below are of me and my grand daughter, Caley, Justin and Evan as kids, and Miles drooling.
