THE DISPERSED ETHNIC MINORTIES OF SOUTHEAST ASIA As an ethno-politologist, a doctor of political science, Mr. DAISA DAO, also known as Mr.THANH DAI is prepared the STATUTE of THE DISPERSED ETHNIC MINORITIES OF SOUTHEAST ASIA IN FOCUS THINK TANK as a POLICY INSTITUTE should be set up in the territory of a member-state of ASEAN - the Thailand. On occasion of seventh session of the UN Expert Mechanism on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (07-11 July 2014), Dr. DAISA DAO requests the ASEAN through the Permanent Representatives of Member-States of ASEAN to United Nations Office, Geneva, Switzerland to grant its patronage to this Institute’s PROGRAM. The aims of the POLICY INSTITUTE shall be as follows by spreading mutual confidence among the ASEAN peoples/nations, and thus strengthening the atmosphere of comfort and security for all ethnic minorities in Southeast Asia, disseminate the enlightening knowledge about dispersed smaller numbered peoples and disappearing cultures, propagate and promote their education in native languages; The tasks of the POLICY INSTITUTE should be to help the dispersed ethnic minorities of Southeast Asia preserve their cultural traditions and awareness of their past, to support the collection and recording of linguistic monuments and oral tradition, to promote the publication of material in their own languages and, in general, to do its utmost to prevent Southeast Asian languages and cultures from disappearing, the POLICY INSTITUTE should also be assigned a monitoring function.
