THE DRAGON VISION In a small village in the so called The place to be, an old man had a magnificent vision. His great vision was for the village to have its own real, live, honest - to -goodness, fire - breathing Dragon. The old man said over and over,If we had a Dragon in our town, we will get a good governor and our children would have good education and employment; if we had a dragon in the town, the county government would give us more benefits including high standard roads and improved security; if we had Dragon in our town people would come from many miles away to see the Dragon, and our economy would soar; If we had Dragon, shortage of water in the town would be a thing of past and PR developments would not be entertained. And on and on and on. He described his vision to every one he saw, and talked about it so frequently that eventually it became the vision of everyone in the village. In fact, everyone was saying, If we had a Dragon, all our problems would be solved. Upon hearing this, the gods of the Dragon said, Hey, these people really want a dragon. And if any group of people in the whole history of mankind ever deserved a dragon, these people of the Place to be deserve one! So, low and behold, one morning the old man walked out of his house, and there, standing right in front of him - was a real, full - sized, honest- to- goodness, fire - breathing Dragon! The old man took one look at the dragon and was so stunned that he fell over with a heart attack and died. This, in turn, startled the dragon so much that it roared and spewed flames of fire all over the village , which proceeded to burn the whole county!!
