THE EBOLA SCARE I have received several calls and sms messages this night that the dreaded Ebola virus had arrived Jos and Kaduna. And that everyone should take a hot birth with salt in the water and to drink some salt water too! Dont know how authentic this claim is or how valid the precautionary measures are, but am worried about the panic this is already creating! If the claims are true I expect the government to go on air to inform citizens of the situation and what exactly to do. As it is now, the panic may be worse than the one created by the ethno-religious crises we have been having here! I advise that people should please avoid any panicky measures which may bring about new complications and await informed and professional instructions from the relevant authorities. As a Christian I know that it is in God I live and move and have my being. This means that whether or not there is Ebola God will never abandon me. A thousand may fall at your right and left, but only with your eyes you will see the recompense of the wicked. So please, dont panic. Of course, you should not unduly expose yourself or fail to take professional and sensible precautionary measures. But know that at the end of it all, if God does not watch over the city, the watchmen stay awake in vain. May God help us!
