THE ECONOMIC OWNERS OF NIGERIA RAISED 60 BILLION NAIRA ($40 MILLION) TO HELP THE BOKO HARAM TERROR VICTIMS:This is a good development in the right direction from the economic owners of Nigeria to give back to their fellow Nigerians who are extremely poor, hopeless and miserable by doing a little form of wealth redistribution yesterday in Abuja. These donors are the few Nigerians who are also the sole beneficiaries from the prevailing economic policies in place in Nigeria that favor a handful of them who were selected and anointed by successive governments of the day in Nigeria to control and to monopolize the oil, gas, banking, telecoms and import sectors of the Nigerias economy as well as buy the public corporations at a give-away prices in the name of privatization. Some of the largest donors on Thursday night include Theophilus Danjuma, $10 million (oil bloc owner) Aliko Dangote, N1 billion (monopoly of rice, sugar and cement importation), Jim Ovia, N1 billion; (banking sector) Tony Elumelu, N2.5 billion; (banking sector) Mike Adenuga, N1 billion; (telecoms) Wale Tinubu, N1 billion; (oil sector) Arthur Eze, $5 million; (oil sector) Mohammed Ndimi, $5 million; (oil sector) Kabiru Rabiu, N500 million; (cement and importation sectors) Dahiru Mangal N500 million; (imports and oil sectors) and Folorunsho Alakija, N500 million (oil sector).Others include a group of oil sector players, N17 billion; bankers N15 billion, telecom sector players N1 billion; state governors, N3.7 billion; and ministers, N50 million. #TheEconomicOwnersOfNigeria - Sunday Iwalaiye/Prenium Times.
