THE ELEVENTH HOUR- PART TWO! When its 11 oclock in the night, most people are always asleep and the streets already void of traffic. But this is the time some students especially, love to wake up to study; because at this time, the environment seems quiet and their assimilation rate is fast! So, while some are studying at the eleventh hour; some are sleeping!!! We need no soothsayer to tell us that this world is in its eleventh hour, we are approaching the close of the day, we are in the end-time, we are in the last days; and perilous times are here!!! But because the gospel message, has now been diluted and even silenced in some assemblies, many have been misled and now threading the destructive path! Its a pity that sin has found its way into the church, crippled the testimonies of many and even made the once-vibrant-preachers, to become noisemakers with little or no effect! Though, we still have few, who despite all; are still awake and not compromised! Now, I put this question to us all, who profess to be citizens of the Kingdom of God: Whats your attitude during this period? At this eleventh hour, are you resting? Are you now relying on past glory, while the present glory has departed? Is your love for Jesus as strong as ever? Has sin not crept into your understanding, that it doesnt look sinful as it used to be, and you now have an explanation for your sinful acts? Where is your allegiance; Is Jesus still the central of your consecration or youve pitched your tent with the world? Im sure you are aware that the prince of this world is coming forcefully, wont he find a foothold in your life to tear you apart? 2 Peter 3:10,11(GNT): But the Day of the Lord will come like a thief. On that Day the heavens will disappear...the heavenly bodies will burn up and be destroyed...the earth with everything in it will vanish. Since all these things will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people should you be? Your lives should be holy and dedicated to God. My beloved brothers/sisters, this is the eleventh hour, the last minute we have to make all things right with God so as not to end up as a casualty! This is the time to rekindle our love for God and be active in His work! This is a time to run our race until we see HIS face in glory! This is the time we need the Holy Spirit to energise us and set us ablaze for God! This is the time to be prayerful and ardent readers of Gods Word! This isnt the time to be captured by the pride of life, lust of the eyes and lust of the flesh! Matthew 20:6-8: And about the ELEVENTH HOUR he went out, and found others standing idle, and saith...Why stand ye here all the day idle?...Go ye also into the vineyard...So when EVEN was come, the lord of the vineyard saith unto his steward, Call the labourers, and give them their hire(reward).... God is also saying to us all, why stand idle? Why sit on the fence? The Even is come, the night when no man can work, that great day when the faithful servants will be rewarded and welcome home; while the unfaithful servants will be cast into outer darkness! Where will you and I be then? The world is passing away; are we going to pass away with it, or be found at JESUS feet? This isnt the time to play religion, but to walk according to Gods standard of holiness! On that day, the religion you belong to, nor church you attend can not save you; Only your relationship with JESUS CHRIST while on earth will speak for you! Only Whats Done for Christ Will Last!
