THE END OF DAYS BY RICHARD MBANEFO The prophecy has been running for thousands of years That the world is fast running to a cliff of complete collapse And the joy of many will turn to a basket, full of tears As the whole creation comes to the end of days The Doomsday cry is sounding louder than I want to hear As the dearth of sound morals is overwhelming all like the eclipse of the sun Telling all that the End Time is nearer than we thought its near And that we should not be deceived by prophets whose ways are false and full of pun As there are now ‘men of God’ who lead the traffic to hell And Pastors whose ways are out of whack That you wonder whether he’s already in town The Prince of Darkness who will chair the end of days Such that the truth is put under such a severe attack As morals are now swimming in a quicksand of turpitude And the tributary is flowing fast into the holy water of christian attitude That I wonder how many will still have the needed fortitude To maintain their moral rectitude When they see that even the very elect of Mankind Have given themselves over to a reprobate mind As the world watches the beginning of her apocalypse
