THE END OF THE TOWER THEATER-PART 15 Im sure that others came by during the demolition of the Tower to collect a brick or a tile, or some other reminder of the old theater. I did the same, of course. Tiles from the once colorful front entrance, interior signs, the last of the tickets in the ticket machine, pieces of carpet, many light bulbs from the marquee, several aluminum letters that once hung on the marquee (these were found wedged between the marquee and the building wall), a portion of glass from the ticket booth with the hole through it, marble from the ticket booth, and a curved portion of the balcony stairway banister.....with the eyelet for the velvet rope still attached! And, of course, several bricks to add to a collection of bricks from the Lichtensteins building, the old La Retama Library, Sundeen H.S., the Coliseum, the 1914 Courthouse, the old City Hall on Shoreline, the Breakers Hotel, Angelos Pizza, and others.
