****THE FABULOUS FIVE**** Mello is the perfect example of what the ACC environment “does” to a dog. When Mello was surrendered by his owner on DECEMBER 3rd he was a happy-go-lucky young man – so well behaved with other dogs that he was used as a Helper Dog in the assessment of others. Fast forward to three months later….the tension, stress , cramped quarters, noise and lack of sufficient exercise is wearing Mello down. Mello has become somewhat ‘tense’ around other dogs – no aggression, but not the loose, wiggly guy he was when he first arrived. Who can blame him really? But we are certain there is a home out there for Mello, all that is needed is ‘dog experience’ and the willingness to take it slow when introducing Mello to any resident dog. Give this intelligent young man a little time to ‘decompress’ and he is sure to get back in touch with his “inner wiggly-butt”!
