THE FALSEHOOD OF TRINITY A major erroneous teaching in Christendom today is the doctrine of trinity, which according to those who believe and teach it, state that God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit are one indivisible entity , that all are equal, none is greater than the other. That the Father is uncreated, so t oo the Son and the Holy Spirit uncreated. Trinity doctrine was introduced by one Theophilus o f Antioch and later adopted by the Council of Nicaea in 325 AD as an article of fa ith in the Church. This doctrine is not true and no part of the Script ures supports it. Christ did not teach it, neither his apostles. It is commonly held by professed Christians that the Trinity doctrine is beyond human understanding – th at is, it is a mystery. This is devised by Trinitarians in order to run away from f acing the facts or to avoid the searchlight of scriptural criticism which the doctr ine cannot stand. We hold that if the doctrine remains a mystery, it ought not to be taught at all. Christian teachers must preach what they know and what they can prove. Jesus Christ himself said: 52 “We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen”. – John 3:11; see also Deuteronomy 29:29; Ephesians 3:3-9. Reference to 1 John 5:7 as authority for Trinity do ctrine by some professed Christians is very wrong because, that portion of t he Bible is an interpolation – a spurious text inserted into the Bible by biased tra nslators. It should not be believed by true Christians. Those who hold to the Trinity doctrine also misinte rpret John 1:1-3 which states that, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God ... ” The beginning here is the beginning of God’s creation when Christ was created and not God the Father. The Father is the Almighty God. (Genesis 17:1) Whil e the Son is known as the Mighty God. – Isaiah 9:6,7. The Father is truly uncreated. He lives from everl asting to everlasting. He has no beginning and end. But the Son Jesus Christ was created by the Father. (Proverbs 8:22-30) Christ has a beginning, he is the firstborn of every creature (C olossians 1:15-17), and the beginning of God’s creation and used to create othe r good things. (Revelation 3:14; Ephesians 3:9) And Christ was the one whom the Fat her sent into this world to redeem man from sin and death. – Matthew 26:27,28. The Holy Spirit is not a person, it is the invisibl e force of God which He gives to His servants to enable them do His work. Those who preach Trinity often quote John 10:30, wh ere Christ said, “I and my Father are one”. This oneness is not in body but i n purpose, agreement, unity. Christ also prayed for this oneness or unity of pur pose among his disciples in John 17:20-23. During his baptism, the Father from heaven sent His Holy Spirit to him as His only begotten Son in whom He (the Father) is well please d. (Matthew 3:13-17) If the Father and the Son are not divided in substance the n whose voice was heard from heaven? Also, whose voice came from heaven during the transfiguration as recorded in Matthew 17:1-5? Again, if they are all one in body as some teach, w ould it not be blasphemous to say that when Christ was buried in the grave for 3 days and 3 nights, there was no God in existence? Nobody can be compared to God or be equal to Him in heaven and earth. (Isaiah 40:18, 42:8; 46:5) The fact that the Father sent h im showed that He (God) is greater. (John 13:16) St. Paul also stated clearly that the head of Christ is God. – 1 Corinthians 11:3. 53 Furthermore, the apostle went on that Christ never thought it robbery to be equal with his Father, but humbled himself and made himse lf of no reputation. (Philippians 2:5-11) In acknowledgement of the supremacy of the Father, Christ clearly testified that, “my Father is greater than I.” – John 14:28. From all that I have said, it is clear that the Tri nity Doctrine is false. I chose to stop on my talk on the subject: “The Falsehood of Trini ty.” Thank you.
