THE FAULT IN OUR STARS: We went to this movie a general knowledge of the overall plot, but not having read the book. The movie was great, and you should definitely see it. But wait.......theres more to this review. The acting was top notch. The on-screen chemistry between Hazel (Shailene Woodley) and Augustus (Ansel Eigort) was masterful and maybe some of the best Ive seen in a long time. The story is about two terminally-ill, teenage cancer patients who fall in love and have a brief but emotionally intense relationship. Naturally, the viewer is a passenger on an emotional roller coaster for just over 2 hours..... If you dont shed some tears while watching this film, you are either Mr. Spock, or some other non-human, and you should see Edge Of Tomorrow or the Lego Movie..... For the rest of you, take a pocket full of Kleenex, or a suitable substitute. There may be snot in addition to tears. You have been warned. I felt that the movie was about 30 minutes too long and that the story would have been better had it been told in a more efficient manner. Its good to see Willem Dafoe in a movie occasionally, and while his role in this movie was a relatively small one, his performance did not disappoint. Lotte Verbeek - wow! It will work fine on the small screen and this movie may be best watched in the privacy of your own home....... unless you are not afraid to bawl in front of perfect strangers.... not that I would ever do that, but the people around me were a bunch of babies! See it -- youll be glad you did. imdb/title/tt2582846/?ref_=nv_sr_1
