THE FEAR OF THE LORD (conti.) (Proverbs 15:33 NKJV) The fear of the LORD is the instruction of wisdom, And before honor is humility. (Proverbs 22:4 NKJV) By humility and the fear of the LORD Are riches and honor and life. (Proverbs 23:17-18 NKJV) Do not let your heart envy sinners, But be zealous for the fear of the LORD all the day; {18} For surely there is a hereafter, And your hope will not be cut off. (Proverbs 28:14 NKJV) Happy is the man who is always reverent, But he who hardens his heart will fall into calamity. (Isaiah 11:1-4 NKJV) There shall come forth a Rod from the stem of Jesse, And a Branch shall grow out of his roots. {2} The Spirit of the LORD shall rest upon Him, The Spirit of wisdom and understanding, The Spirit of counsel and might, The Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD. {3} His delight is in the fear of the LORD, And He shall not judge by the sight of His eyes, Nor decide by the hearing of His ears; {4} But with righteousness He shall judge the poor, And decide with equity for the meek of the earth; He shall strike the earth with the rod of His mouth, And with the breath of His lips He shall slay the wicked.
