THE FORMER PRAIRIE RIVER SPEEDWAY.Lots of local racers in Northern Indiana, Southern Michigan, and Ohio raced at this track. Some of the well known names from the Angola,IN. area, Dick Margo driving the Freeman Garage car, Danny Morse, Wild Ken Jowsay, Art Hall, Larry Zimmerman, Earl Meyers, and Dick Nickols were considered the Hotdogs of 1953 at the track. I remember seeing photos of this track in a scrapbook at Ken Jowsays Funeral and that was the first time I had actually heard of this track.
