THE FUTURE OF PARAPHILATELY by Quantus Qwo Postmaster General of the Republic of the Moon Insofar as I was talking to Platytudinous Moroxon, the local Moonton personnel agent for AKME PERFINATION SERVICES the other day, it occurred to me that we must be truly grateful that Perfins in their classic form have been so well served by the Loonese postal system, what with our copious stamp duty issues these last two thousand years or so. We can only laugh at how our earthy ancestors little rightly reckoned the true meaning of duration in time. Paraphilately surely shall not pall upon future generations if the Loonar example is worth anything. Some might note that in my recent writings that I placed my date in time in the earthy 23rd century....then recently spoke of living in the year 4014. It is laughable to think how these two thousand years with their many stamp issues have passed before me with such regularity. We of the Moon well know the works of our great Loonese mathematician Floyd Meer, whose pivotal axiom has so influenced our Culture. Floyd long ago noted that if one adds Zero to anything, it does not change a thing. 0+27=27. 0+88= 88 0+675.42=675.42 The number of equations that prove this point are infinite...so with infinite confidence we can proceed to the marvelous conclusion: to wit: If ones age is, say for example, 87 years of age, if one added a 0, the age would remain the same. Thus one might proceed to 870 year of age by changing essentially nothing. And by adding another 0, also not changing anything, one easily can live to 8700 years of age. 0+87=870 0+870=8700 Q.E.D. It is by this simple, but profound mathematical observation that Loonese Culture has become Infinite. So we can logically extrapolate the subject at hand, the Future of Paraphilately by utilizing Meers Axiom. As the true staple, the meat and potatoes [or veggie plasm], of the paraphilatelist is the Perfin. The Perfin on white paper is a black Zero. On black paper it is a white Zero. Thus the perfin and its ancestor the Perforation tell us that as long as stamps exist, nothing will change! For all the little perfins are Zeros! [0=Perfin] [stamp+ Perfin=stamp]. By adding these little Zeros to our stamps, things do not change; and that which does not change is eternal. Paraphilately is Eternal, as the Perfin brings about stability in the Universe. Changing Nothing, the Perforation give us Sustainability. Thus Paraphilately is Infinite as long as Perfins and Perforations maintain the Hypostasis of Philatelic Matter. *8* And Platytudinous Moroxon was well pleased as he walked to the edge of the Crator of Cudley, to view the great blue earth beaming overhead and thought lovingly of the many works of AKME and how well they had served the Moon.
