THE GAMBLER (2014) Mark Wahlberg is a man living beyond his means and in over his head in debt. And the bill collectors are the ones who break bones. He just needs his luck to change. To save his butt he pits a loan shark against a casino mogul. Will playing both sides end him or save him? I loved the choice of music in this film. The timing and execution was bang on. Wahlberg was really good in the lead. But I felt like I had seen this story before and done better (1998s Rounders rings a bell and I never saw the 70s original).
