THE GAP There was a gap - Marx filled the gap. Then Lenin came Said ‘Listen, chap And you, chapess - Let’s sort this mess: Replace oppression With progress!’ They built a state Which first was great Not perfect but A good start, mate They beat the fascists (World War Two) And got some allies. Their world grew – A bright red shining Inspiration To the oppressed Of every nation. Old ideas Out the window - Goodbye gods. Original sin…… DOH! Work together No more preaching No more bosses Brand new teaching! Kruschev said NO To Stalin’s slaughter - But baby went out With bathwater. Some bosses’ stooges Came along And said ‘Our world – Hey, it’s all wrong! Undemocratic! It must fall! We’ve got POLICE! And there’s a WALL!’ And so it did. Now there’s a gap Who’s filled the gap? A load of arseholes Spouting crap. There’s preachers preaching Fascist crap And racists shouting Racist crap. There’s workers who believe this crap Who work for peanuts Doff their cap - And want to slap A dark skinned chap While sitting in Their boss’s lap! There is a gap. Marx FILLS the gap!
