The minimum job requirements for all current open positions are: These positions work in a very fast paced environment. Must have English reading and verbal communication skills sufficient to read, understand and communicate company operating procedures and policies. Must be able to lift, push and pull a minimum of 50 lbs. Must be able to demonstrate math proficiency equal to or greater than required for the position applied. Other duties may include assisting in other areas of the plant. Must be available to work any shift as required, and must be able to work overtime and especially weekends. Shifts may vary: 1st shift 5:00a.m to 1:30p.m., 2nd shift 2:00p.m to 10:30p.m., 3rd shift 10:30p.m to 6:00 a.m. Saw Operator/Dip Trainee/Expander: These shifts schedule is 3 day/12 hour schedule All work schedules will include a weekend day. WONDERLIC MATH TEST TIPS: If you are interested in getting the best Basic Math score possible, make sure to visit algebrahelp and review the Basic Algebra Concepts and Fractions tabs to refresh your memory. A minimum composite score of 240 on the Wonderlic Basic Math Skill is the equivalent of 8th grade math ability. The current open positions at The Gill Corporation are: Stocker (2nd Shift) Primary duties Receive parts and verify quantities. Ensure that there is no visible damage to parts. Maintain inventory accuracy in visual system. Verify all parts/products are labeled and identified accordingly. Perform weekly/monthly Cycle Counts. Create move tickets for products moving into shipping locations. Issues, receives and transfers material to and from other buildings. Data entry of all inventory transactions. Basic PC Computer Skills required. Forklift Experience a plus. Minimum composite score of 240 on the Wonderlic Basic Math Skill Test is required. Minimum Starting Pay Rate: $11.97/hr. Material Handler B-6 (3rd Shift) This job requires pulling, staging, and transporting material to support all areas of the plant and is responsible for material accuracy by recording movement of all materials. Is responsible for entering and tracking daily issues and transfers to computer and perform daily cycle counts. Will also load and unload containers of incoming material from trailers. Will be trained in packaging and material shearing operations for backup support. Other duties may include assisting in other areas of the plant. This position works in a very fast paced environment. Basic PC Computer Skills required. Must have Forklift experience and have a valid California Driver’s license with an acceptable driving record. Minimum composite score of 240 on the Wonderlic Basic Math Skill Test is required. Minimum Starting Pay Rate: $11.97/hr. PRE-PREG Operator Trainee (2ND / 3rd Shifts) Primary duties include set up and operation of a continuous process coating machine work center. Responsible to insure all products are produced according to product specific work instructions and specifications. Collects, calculates and records data necessary for proper quality and inventory maintenance. Primary applicants will have experience operating coating, laminating, milling, extruding or other similar production process machinery. Forklift experience a plus. Minimum composite score of 275 on the Wonderlic Basic Math Skill Test is required. Minimum Starting Pay Rate: $14.26/hr. Lay Up Operator (2nd / 3rd Shifts) Prepares panel and liner construction per lay-up GPS guidelines, assists with loading and unloading of presses, ensures that all materials used are correct for each work order, are free from quality defects and within shelf life requirements. Prepare and stage all left over materials to be returned back to warehouse. Collects, calculates and records data necessary for proper quality and inventory maintenance. Makes sure housekeeping is being maintained and all containers are properly labeled. Minimum composite score of 240 on the Wonderlic Basic Math Skill Test is required. Minimum Starting Pay Rate: $11.97/hr. Femco Saw Operator (Mon-Wed 6am-6pm) Responsible for cutting/slicing material according to specific product work instructions and GWI specifications. Set up Saw for initial cut, check thickness and dimensions of first part produced. Constantly check material for thickness and density. Collects, calculates and records data necessary for proper quality and inventory maintenance. Counts, cleans and covers up material after the order is completed. Forklift experience a plus. Minimum composite score of 240 on the Wonderlic Basic Math Skill Test is required. Minimum Starting Pay Rate: $11.97/hr. Dip Operator Trainee (Sun-Tue 6PM TO 6AM) Primary duties include using programs for dipping core blocks in a dip tank which soaks them with a special coating material. Removing dipped core blocks and setting up in oven to cure and then to cool. Must be able to weigh, measure, calculate and record specific data. Responsible to insure all products are produced according to product specific work instructions and specifications. Primary applicants will have experience in manufacturing equipment. Forklift experience a plus. Minimum composite score of 265 on the Wonderlic Basic Math Skill Test is required. Minimum Starting Pay Rate: $13.41/hr. Packer Shipper B4 (1st Shift) General duties in Shipping/Receiving including: Constructs pallets, assist in the packaging of finished Panel and Liner Products. Must be able to use tools such as bench saw, hammer, nail gun, staple gun, steel strapping equipment and general equipment associated with shipping department. Must be able to follow directions and have a good understanding of general safety. Basic PC Computer Skills required and forklift experience a plus. Minimum composite score of 240 on the Wonderlic Basic Math Skill Test is required. Minimum Starting Pay Rate: $11.97/hr. Expander Operator B-4 (Sun-Tues 6PM-6AM) Responsible for expanding Nomex block per company guidelines. Press blocks, put aluminum pin loops to facilitate expansion process, record material usage and press times on shop work order. Expands blocks to required size per shop work order and record expanded size of block and cell size. Heat set blocks using programs, fills out work orders, and cleans work area. Forklift experience a plus. Minimum composite score of 240 on the Wonderlic Basic Math Skill Test is required. Minimum Starting Pay Rate: $11.97/hr. Assembler (2nd Shift-Training on 1st) Primary duties include finishing detailed panel assembly and liners. Uses specifications, blue prints, mylar and work orders. Deburrs and cleans insert drill holes prior to insert installation. Applies adhesive to plugs/sleeves and panel prior to plug/sleeve installation. Prepares panel assemblies for edge fill operation. Mixes and applies edge-fill to the undercut of the panels. Hand routes with pneumatic hand router all detailed liners using the specified tool required. Basic PC Computer Skills required. Minimum composite score of 240 on the Wonderlic Basic Math Skill Test is required. Minimum Starting Pay Rate: $11.97/hr.
