THE GOVERNOR IN WAITING Dr. Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah (OON, FCA) is the next governor of Abia of Nigeria. He is the governor in waiting. We are just waiting for 29th may 2015 to effectively resume work at the government house Umuahia. He is the man with the mantle of God to defeat the giants standing on the way of Abia State. Having been ordained by Jehovah as a servant to deliver his people like the biblical Moses, Dr. Uche Ogah has vowed to dismantle those road blocks that has continuously robbed oil on wheels of discomfort in Abia State. The situation Abia found herself is so unfortunate, deplorable and unacceptable. Abia state is a blessed state, yet her citizens have continuously been impecunious, impoverished and Kwashiorkored due to Leadership failures. Public servants in Abia State are owed many months of their monthly salaries, school fees are beyond the reach of the common man, our infrastructure is in total decay, and our night life is taken away. Denizens have to sleep as from 9pm because of security concern. The youth unemployment is beyond what any print can hold, Abians have been dragged to the mud. Abians are crying for help. The sports loving State has gone far down in overall sports rating giving new comers states like Delta State Upper hand. Thank God for Dr Uche Ogah is the man who can handle the affairs of the state for effective turn around.Having been given a mandate to make Abian rejoice all we have to say is Lord let thy will be done. Uchechukwu ga eme meaning the will of the Almighty God must prevail. Choosen and ordained by God to make Abians rejoice, he has accepted to serve his people. Given the comatose situation around the state which is compared to the kind of background Uche came from. Once upon a time around him, things were so rough. Poverty knew his address, but today it has lost all contact of Dr. Uche. He captured the hydra-headed monster through education and fractured its grip through dedication to duty. Today everybody around him is enjoying reminiscence of the win. He has transformed his village which in time past was not in the map of fortunate Abia villages. The song in Onuaku, the birth place of Uche Ogah is “rejoice, we are privileged” He did not embrace any godfather to pull away from the ground zero where poverty and depravity reigns. Like his mantra which revolve on the fulcrum “education is the basic tool to freedom” , he will revive all the schools in Abia State and re-establish the principle that made Dr. Michael Okpara champion till tomorrow. Again, He revived an environment where non- ever climbed easily without he help of government. Masters energy as you know is a global brand, rolling out billions in its balance sheet. It started with virtually a little capital. He has been able to sustain its growth to where everybody in the world can envy him. He can do that to Abia state. He will create enabling environment for business to thrive in Aba, Umuahia, Ohafia and Abiriba. He will not require too much teaching; he will add whatever needful teachings to his formula. He will not copy from anybody because he already has the know-how to crush difficult situations. All he need is to replicate what he has done. Private sector is not too different to public sector. He loves education. He loves scholarship. He loves the tool that liberate faster. He has a foundation that has given more than a million scholarships. Given the power of governance, he will do more. He is approachable. He can listen to anybody that comes to him. He has an open door policy which has endeared him to the masses. Abians need a listening governor.
