THE GRACE ASSEMBLY OF GOD MINISTRY Welcome to a glorious Sunday, your presence in Zion before the Almighty today will not be in vain. You will not go back home the same way you came to church in the Mighty name of Jesus. You will return home blessed, transformed, to the glory of God in the name of Jesus. Amen. We shall continue with our theme of the month “Divine Direction”, our topic for the week is “Access To Divine Direction” The text will be taken from Isaiah 48:21, and Psalm 23:1-6 Introduction: - The Almighty God is daily in the business of leading His people. He wants to lead you; however, you must know what it takes to enjoy His leading and how He leads His people before you can be led by Him. God will bring you into the company of those who enjoy His constant leading Amen. What Does It Take To Enjoy Divine Direction? (1) New Birth: - Psalm23:1, John 3:6-7 “That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is Spirit, marvel not that I said unto thee. Ye must be born again” You receive Christ as your Lord and Saviour, there will be no more condemnation, old things has passed away, behold all things are new. (2) The Fear Of The Lord: - Psalm 25:14 “The secret of the Lord is with them that fear Him, and he will show them His covenant” .The fear of God is the beginning of wisdom. The fear of the Lord is not the negative feeling of fright and anxiety or apprehension of punishment. It is respect, reverence or awe that we have for Him as our heavenly father and King. It is positive emotion of love for Him. (3) Meekness: - Psalm 25:9, Number 12:13. “The meek will He guide in judgment and the meek will He teach His way” “And Moses said to the Lord heal her now Lord I beseech thee”. Meekness is very important if you want to have access to divine direction. Moses was the meekest man upon the face of the earth. see Number 12:3 God does not joke with His anointed. (4) Quietness :-( Serenity). Psalm 46:10, Isaiah 30:15 “Be still, and know that I AM God, I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth”. “For this said the Lord God, the Holy one of Israel, in returning and rest shall ye be saved, in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength and ye would not” quietness and serenity is a way to gain access to divine direction. (5) A Joyful And Praiseful Heart:- Isaiah30:29 “And ye shall have a song as in the night when holy solemnity is kept and gladness of heart as when one goeth with a pipe to come into the mountain of the Lord, the Mighty one of Israel” How Do I Access Divine Direction (A). By The Spirit Of God:- John16:13, Roman8:14 “How be it when he the spirit of truth is come, he will guide you into all truth, for he shall not speak of himself, but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak and he will shew you things to come” “for as many as are led by the spirit of God they are the sons of God” (b). By The Word Of God:- Psalm 119:105, Deut.28:1, John 2:5 it is the faithful practice of scripture that connect us to our desired future. “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path” Psalm119:105 “And it shall come to pass if thou shall harken diligently unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe and to do all his commandment which I command thee this day, that the Lord thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth” The word of God is the greatest answer book. Infact it is the manual of our life. If we can take time to red it and do that which God has instructed us to do. When we practice it faithfully, it connects us to our desired future. Every time God tells us to do a thing, He only wants to use it as an avenue to qualify us for a change of status. (c). Through Prayer Enquiry:- . prayer is an of communicating with God 2 Samuel 5:17-25 “…David enquired of the Lord whether he should go after the Philistine and God told him to go that He will deliver them into his hand”. When the Philistines came up again, he David yet enquired through prayer, but God told him not to go up and fetch a compass behind them and come up against them by the mulberry tree and the Lord shall go before thee and smite them David Did as the Lord Commanded and smote the philistine.” (D). Through Meditation;- Proverb 13:1 Isaiah 1:18 A wise son heareth the father’s instruction but a scorner heareth not rebuke” “come now and let us reason together saith the Lord, though your sin be as scarlet they shall be as white as snow, though be red like crimson they shall be as wool” Meditate to understand what God is trying to communicate to you. (E). Through Observation:- Proverb 6:6 Isaiah 51:2,Elijah and Elisha 2King 2:8&14 Jesus &Peter Mark 5:41, & Act 9:40 “GO to the ant, thou sluggard consider her ways and be wise” “ look unto Abraham your father and unto Sarah that bare you for I called him alone and blessed him and increased him” Conclusion:- God’s will for you and I is to be divinely guided, take advantage of these revealed truth to enter into a life of fulfillment.
