THE GRACE OF GOD TEACHES US TO SAY NO TO DISOBEDIENCE.... To those who say we are under grace so we should not obey God - the false prophets and the false teachers; hear what the Bible says; and learn and stop your false teachings; because, God, our LORD and Savior, Jesus Christ, will hold you accountable for every soul you mislead. The Bible says: [11] For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. [12 ] It teaches us to say No to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, [13] while we wait for the blessed hope —the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, [14] who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good (Titus 2:11-14). The grace of God - it is God showing humanity HIS everlasting love, through the offer of underserved favors at no cost. The death of Jesus on the cross to wipe away our sins at no cost is the grace of God. Has appeared that offers salvation to all people - this grace - that is, Jesus died and has brought the power of deliverance to everyone who will believe with his/her heart; and confess with his/her mouth that Jesus is LORD. It teaches us to say No to 1. ungodliness and 2. worldly passions, and 3. to live self-controlled, 4. upright and 5. godly lives in this present age - it means, this grace - that is, the death and the work of Christ Jesus educates, instructs and equips us to destroy the root of sin from our lives by saying No to all forms of sin, and lead righteous lives to please Jesus. I reiterate; the grace of God that has come to us through Christ Jesus, our LORD and Savior, has come so that our sins will be blotted out and receive the Holy Spirit WHO causes the Word of God to be written on our hearts, and make our hearts inclined and susceptible to obeying the Word of God: [31] The days are coming, declares the LORD, when I will make a new covenant with the people of Israel and with the people of Judah. [32] It will not be like the covenant I made with their ancestors when I took them by the hand to lead them out of Egypt, because they broke my covenant, though I was a husband to them, declares the LORD. [33] This is the covenant I will make with the people of Israel after that time, declares the LORD. I will put my law in their minds and write it on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people. [34] No longer will they teach their neighbor, or say to one another, ’Know the LORD,’ because they will all know me, from the least of them to the greatest, declares the LORD. For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more (Jeremiah 31:31-34). When we believe in Jesus, after hearing the message of the cross, our sins are blotted out by the BLOOD of Jesus, and God does not remember them again, thus fulfilling verse 34b. We then receive the imparted righteousness of the LORD Jesus Christ, and this qualifies us to receive the HOLY SPIRIT, WHO teaches each and every individual believer the knowledge of God and writes the Word of God on the believers heart, and makes the believers heart inclined onto obeying God. This how the New Covenant will be different from that of the Old Covenant. In the Old Covenant sins were covered with the blood of animals, and were not blotted out. Therefore, they could not receive the Holy Spirit, because, they were not made righteous by the blood of animals. Hence, everything they did was through the efforts of the flesh which could not please God. Hence, the Bible says: [30] What then shall we say? That the Gentiles, who did not pursue righteousness, have obtained it, a righteousness that is by faith; [31] but the people of Israel, who pursued the law as the way of righteousness, have not attained their goal. [32] Why not? Because they pursued it not by faith but as if it were by works. They stumbled over the stumbling stone (Romans 9:30-32). Since Israel were not made righteous, they could not receive the Holy Spirit, WHO could indwell them and write upon their hearts the laws of God, and incline their hearts to the obedience of God, and make their hearts susceptible to obeying God. Israel therefore, could not worship God in Spirit, and in Truth. They tried with their flesh to do the things of God; which was impossible; because, God is a Spirit, and they that worship HIM, must worship HIM in Spirit and in Truth: [23] Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. [24] God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth (John 4:23-24). The Spirit is the Holy Spirit. Truth is the Word of God. Human and the efforts of the flesh cannot know the requirements of the law to fulfill them. It is only the Spirit of God that can lead man into all truth: [12] I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear. [13] But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. [14] He will glorify me because it is from me that he will receive what he will make known to you (John 16:12-14). But when the SPIRIT OF TRUTH, Who is the Holy Spirit comes, HE will guide you into all truth. It is only the HOLY SPIRIT Who leads man into worshipping God in a way that is pleasing to God - that is, in Spirit and Truth. Thus, it is HOLY SPIRIT WHO indwells the believer, and inclines the heart of the believer to obeying the laws of God; thus causing us to fulfil the first and the greatest commandment: [35] One of them, an expert in the law, tested him with this question: [36] Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law? [37] Jesus replied: ’Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ [38] This is the first and greatest commandment (Matthew 22:35-38). The number one reason for the death of Christ Jesus, is to make the believers love God with their hearts, and not part; with all their souls; and not part; and with all their minds, and not parts. While we wait for the blessed hope —the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, 14 who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good.
