THE GREAT AMERICAN MILK DRIVE Five dollars… $5 will buy you a newspaper and a cup of coffee, couple of candy bars, a meal at a fast food restaurant or even a foot long from Subway. Five dollars will also buy one gallon of milk for the Great American Milk Drive. Join the Southeastern Region as they raise money to support The Great American Milk Drive. Milk is one of the most requested food items in food banks, yet milk is rarely donated. With your help and donations, we can support the demand for a nutrient-rich food. Donations will deliver milk to needy families in your community. Juniors coming to the 2015 PA Junior Holstein Convention can bring coins and dollar bills to raise money for the challenge. For every $5 raised, a gallon of milk is being donated. Each county will be collecting donations and bring them to the convention. The breakdown for penny wars is as followed: coins = will be weighed $1 bill = +.5 (1/2) pound $5 bill = - 1 pound $10 bill = + 2 pounds Each county will have their own collection container at convention. Counties are encouraged to spread the word to their junior Holstein members prior to convention. We are looking forward to making a difference, how about you?
